SHS Week Oct 23 - 27
What a great week! Thanks to all who came out to support our Country Fair. Lots of fun for everyone. Our sidewalk and front grass area got a bit of a facelift this week, as did the area out back of the school by the new portables. Hopefully, the grass will grow lush and full in the Spring! Yearbooks went home this week. If you ordered last Spring and have not received your book, please let the office know.

***** Our African School fundraisers continue with a Bottle Drive on October 30th Bags can be dropped off in the primary playground between 8-8:45 and 3-3:45. Another option is to take in your own bottles and drop the donation of money into the school making sure it's labelled Leadership Bottle Drive, if you don’t want to store the bottles until the end of the month.
Thank you for the support of the Leadership Bake Sale which brought in almost $500 to purchase supplies for the school in Africa – and thank you on behalf of the Leadership class for bringing food donation during the fair for the St. Albert Food Bank.
******Change in library times – if your child would normally have their library exchange on Tuesdays - this week only, it will be on Monday for most of the classes. We are doing pictures in the library on Tuesday in order to free up the gym.
******* As boys and girls become excited about Halloween and the approaching festivities, please remember that toy weapons and accessories are not allowed at school and nor are full face masks. If the costume is going to impede the daily classroom work, students may be asked to remove it. For those rooms having events/parties, we want to ensure they are fun for all. Thank you for your attention to these details.
My gosh – October is just flying by! Halloween fun will be happening soon... Have a great weekend!
