Week Dec 12 - 16
Hi Parents: Brrrrr – it seemed like a very long week for the students with no outside time! Teachers became very inventive in how to spend recess breaks!
We have no classes today as Sturgeon Heights’ staff is involved in Staff Meeting and Professional Development sessions. Thanks to the many parents who have planned a wonderful lunch for the staff on this December PD Day.....something we always look forward to!
The Lunch Lady began this past Monday and students were happy with their selections. For those of you who ordered – Mondays are the day!
Boys and girls sang along to several of the songs the Royal Canadian Artillery Band played for us on Tuesday. Unfortunately, the seniors couldn’t join us because of the inclement weather, but the students’ enthusiasm made up for it. It’s always enjoyable to have the Band join us.

**Don’t park on Hogan Road for the concerts. There will be extra parking available in the field should we need it.
***Just a reminder to please remove your boots/shoes before you head down the halls at the school. Students walk to their classrooms in socks and if adults have left a wet or muddy trail, then boys and girls end up with wet feet! Thanks for your attention to this!
****Basketball practices are cancelled this week due to set up for the Concerts.
*****The World Changers group of students at Sturgeon Heights continue with their collection of hats, toques, gloves, mitts and scarves. We’ve had a great response – thanks to all who have sent items in. We will continue collecting items until December 16th.
******Since our Marketplace Day a couple of weeks ago we have had a baking pan around. It looks like one that you would make cake pops in. If this pan belongs to you, please let me know and I’ll see it is returned.
******We are happy to report that the Purdy’s orders, the QSP orders, and the school clothing orders have come in and, hopefully, made it home!
Enjoy your weekend! Let’s hope we have some outside days next week!
