SHS Week April 23 to 28
Hi Parents: We had another busy week at Sturgeon Heights. Students participated in badminton, STEAM Club, Mass Choir rehearsal; together with in-school TPet field trips and out- of-school to the Bennett Centre field trip.

Monday, April 23
-No Headstart or PEP classes today
- Classroom Agriculture Program – Grades 4 and 5
- 11 a.m. – Councillor Patrick Tighe to visit Grade 9 students in Social Studies
-Sturgeon Night of Music and Art at the Winspear and City Hall, Edmonton
Tuesday, April 24
-Immunization for Grades 5 and 9
- Grade 9 Language Arts Field Test
-Write-On Supply Orders (paper copies) should be in by today, please
-Oasis Fish and Reptiles – in-school field trip for PEP
-Popcorn in Snack Shop - $1 per bag – optional purchase
-3:15 – 4:30 – STEAM Club
-3:30 – 4:30 – Badminton Practice
Wednesday, April 25
-World Book Day – Students will be participating in cross-graded reading activities. The focus, of course, is on books and boys and girls are asked to bring their favorite books to school with them to share with their peers. Dressing up is optional – books are the focus this year! (Though the actual Book Day is on April 23rd, we are celebrating today to accommodate some of our little ones who had no classes on Monday.)

-3:30 – 4:30 – Badminton practice
Thursday, April 26
- Presentation on Drugs to Grade 8 students by Cst. Avoine
- Noon - STEAM Club
Friday, April 27
- Mrs. Cornet’s Monday/Wednesday Kindergarten class has school today
-Burgers in Snack Shop - $3 for regular / $3.50 for cheeseburgers – optional purchase
-Jump Day in the gym
-Newsletter out electronically
- Girls’ Circle 3:15 – 5:30 p.m.
Saturday, April 28
-Badminton Finals at Sturgeon Composite High School and Namao School
Further information will come from coaches as the date gets closer
*Please remember to send in an extra pair of pants and socks for your children in their backpacks. The yard continues to be very wet and, although they are being a little more careful outside, there are still falls and splashes.
**Students need adequate snacks, beverages and lunches with them each day, please.
